Coastal Weddings

Coastal Weddings, from Margate to St Ives, for couples who want a day that feels relaxed, personal, and powered by salt air.

We’re ridiculously lucky in the UK, from calm coastal bays to seaside towns that are loud, kitsch, and powered by kiss-me-quick hats, arcades, and icecream coloured wind-whipped promenades. Zero polish, all character. Coastal weddings here aren’t about one look; they’re about atmosphere, personality, and moments that actually stick.

Living in the South East for many years, I’ve been lucky to photograph some truly special coastal weddings — from the slick Turner Contemporary Art Gallery in Margate, to the colourful quiant streets of Whitstable, and the wide, golden sands of Camber Sands. Each spot has its own vibe, whether it’s soft morning light, waves crashing, or a seaside town that’s loud, kitsch, and full of character. Every location gives you space to breathe, soak it in, and do your day your way — no rules, no stiff traditions, your day, your way.
