A Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park Wedding | Richard & Alice
There’s something about a wedding that’s loud with love, full of people, and completely unpolished that makes a documentary photographer’s heart skip a beat. Richard and Alice’s Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park wedding was exactly that.
Alice got ready at Hotel de Vin in Richmond, a quiet riverside spot with just enough calm before the storm. It was the perfect little hideaway before heading into a day overflowing with family, laughter, and energy.
A Big, Joyful Family

Alice comes from a huge clan — six siblings and all their assorted children — so capturing family dynamics was a dream assignment. From playful nieces and nephews to heartfelt embraces, the day was full of those candid moments that make wedding photography sing.
There was no need to stage, no pressure to get everyone to look perfect. The chaos, the laughter, the small arguments over who was standing where — it was all gold.
Pembroke Lodge: Light, Views, and Effortless Charm
The ceremony at Pembroke Lodge was classic Richmond Park magic. The house itself is beautiful, but it’s the grounds that steal the show — rolling parkland, light shifting through the trees, and that perfect late afternoon glow.
We stole a few informal portraits in the evening light across the park, and honestly, it doesn’t get much better than this: natural light, relaxed couple, and a backdrop that needs zero enhancement.

A Documentary Wedding to Remember
The day wasn’t about frills or rigid schedules. It was about family, friends, laughter, and light-filled portraits that tell the story without anyone needing to pose. Every glance, every joke, every little mess-up was exactly the kind of thing I love documenting.
Richard and Alice’s Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park wedding felt entirely them: joyful, relaxed, and alive.
