Sherborne School Wedding Ceremony & Marquee Wedding in Dorset
A Wedding with Personal Meaning in Sherborne
Ness and Adam’s wedding was relaxed, personal, and thoughtfully planned, taking place across two meaningful locations in Dorset. Their day began with a ceremony at Sherborne School, where Adam had gone to school, before continuing with a marquee reception at Hay House Farm, just outside Sherborne.
Choosing Sherborne School as their ceremony venue added a strong sense of personal history to the day. It’s always special when a couple can include a place that already means something to them, and the ceremony felt warm and genuine, with close family and friends gathered in a setting full of familiarity.
Sherborne School Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony at Sherborne School was simple, heartfelt, and focused on what mattered most. The setting provided a beautiful but understated backdrop, allowing Ness and Adam’s vows to take centre stage. There was a calm, meaningful atmosphere throughout, and it felt like a natural fit for them both.
After the ceremony, guests made the short journey to Hay House Farm for the reception.

Marquee Wedding at Hay House Farm, Dorset

Hay House Farm provided the perfect setting for a marquee wedding in Dorset. Set in open countryside, the marquee gave the day a relaxed feel while still feeling well organised and intentional. Foli Events were behind the scenes throughout, keeping everything running smoothly and on time, which allowed the couple and their guests to fully enjoy the day.
The weather added a dramatic edge, with dark skies rolling in during the afternoon. Thankfully, the rain stayed away, meaning we were able to make the most of the surrounding fields for photographs. The conditions worked well and added atmosphere without disrupting the plans.Wedding Catering by Sable Events
Catering was provided by Sable Events, who delivered an excellent meal that suited the relaxed marquee setting perfectly. The food was generous, well paced, and enjoyed by everyone, contributing to the laid-back and sociable feel of the reception.
Andrea Hawkes Bridal Wedding Dress
Ness wore a dress by Andrea Hawkes Bridal, which suited her style beautifully. Elegant, modern, and timeless, it worked perfectly in both the formal ceremony setting and the relaxed countryside reception. Adam looked equally comfortable, and the two of them were completely at ease together, which always translates into natural photographs.
Emotional and Hilarious Wedding Speeches
The speeches were a real highlight of the day. Alongside heartfelt and thoughtful moments, Ness’s big sister delivered a speech that had everyone laughing. It was a proper roast, full of affection, and finished with a Fleabag quote that left much of the marquee in tears.

Relaxed Evening Celebrations and Glamping
As the evening continued, the atmosphere became even more informal. A sea shanty singalong quickly took hold, followed by limbo games in the field, with guests fully embracing the fun. Bell tents were set up nearby for glamping, allowing friends and family to stay on site and continue celebrating well into the night.
A Red Sports Car Getaway
Ness and Adam ended their wedding day with a memorable getaway in a little red sports car, a fun and fitting way to finish a celebration that felt true to them from start to finish.
This was a well-planned and genuinely enjoyable Sherborne School wedding ceremony, paired with a relaxed marquee wedding in Dorset, focused on people, personal meaning, and enjoying the day as it happened.
