Maddie & Paul’s Chelsea Engagement Shoot – From City Streets to the Prettiest Bridge in London ( Albert Bridge if you were wondering)!
Meeting Maddie and Paul was a joy—they were warm, welcoming, and full of energy, making the shoot feel effortless from the start. These two Americans have made London their home, and with Maddie being a food blogger, you just know they have impeccable taste – in both cuisine and locations!
A Cozy Start at Home and a Stroll Through Radcliffe Square
We kicked things off at their flat, where Maddie and Paul instantly made me feel welcome. There’s something lovely about starting a shoot in a couple’s home – it’s where they’re most relaxed, and that comfort shines through in the photos. After capturing some cozy moments, we wandered over to Radcliffe Square, a little hidden gem in Chelsea. With its grand architecture and leafy private square, it made for the perfect spot to get into the swing of things.
Glebe Place – A Portrait Spot Worth Remembering
Next, we hopped in a taxi to Glebe Place, just around the corner from Chelsea Town Hall. If you’re getting married there, take note – this street is a goldmine for wedding portraits! With its mix of historic London townhouses and colorful, characterful facades, it’s a dream setting for couples looking for a mix of classic and quirky.
A Special Stop at The Surprise Pub
From there, we took a slow stroll through Chelsea’s picturesque streets to The Surprise pub – but this wasn’t just any old pub stop. This was where Paul proposed to Maddie, in the private dining room upstairs! It doesn’t get much more romantic than that. We made sure to capture a few sweet moments outside before heading in to soak up the cozy, intimate atmosphere of the place where their next chapter officially began.
The Iconic Albert Bridge – A Pastel-Perfect Finish
Finally, we made our way down to Albert Bridge, arguably the prettiest bridge in London. With its pastel hues and twinkling lights, it felt like the perfect grand finale to their shoot.
If you’re planning a Chelsea wedding or just looking for stunning portrait spots, consider taking a leaf out of Maddie and Paul’s book – there’s no shortage of beauty in this corner of the city!
