George & Ryan’s Lambeth Town Hall Wedding
Some weddings feel polished. Some feel traditional. And then there are weddings like George and Ryan’s — the kind that feel exactly like the people getting married.
Their day started just up the road from Lambeth Town Hall, not with nerves or schedules, but with tattoos.

Matching Tattoos Before the Ceremony
I met George and Ryan at their tattoo artist’s studio in Brixton, where they got matching heart tattoos before heading off to get married. Ink first, wedding second — a pretty perfect way to start the day.
Once the tattoos were done, we walked straight down to Lambeth Town Hall. No cars, no convoy — just a stroll through the streets toward one of London’s most iconic ceremony spaces.
A Ceremony at Lambeth Town Hall
Their ceremony at Lambeth Town Hall took place in the beautiful Circular Hall and was intimate, relaxed, and full of joy. This is one of the things I love most about Lambeth Town Hall weddings — the building itself has so much character.
George and Ryan kept things simple and very them.

A Surprise at The Ritzy Cinema Brixton
After the ceremony, we crossed the road to The Ritzy Cinema — and this is where things got really fun.
The cinema signage had been changed to congratulate Mr and Mrs Sundown (yes, they changed their surname too). Seeing their reactions as they clocked it was an absolute highlight. Pure joy!
From there, it was drinks at the local pub — exactly as it should be. No formalities. Just celebrating being married and newlywed Mr and Mrs Sundown.
Part Two: A Colourful Home Celebration in Berkshire
This Lambeth Town Hall wedding was only part one.
The next chapter took place at George and Ryan’s home in Berkshire, where their friends led a ceremony that can only be described as riotous, colourful, and gloriously chaotic. The brief? Upstage the bride and groom. And honestly — everyone understood the assignment.
Brightly coloured outfits, speeches, performances — it was creative, heartfelt, and completely unforgettable. A celebration that felt deeply personal and wildly fun, all at once.

Why I Love Photographing Lambeth Town Hall Weddings
A Lambeth Town Hall wedding gives you the freedom to do things your own way. Tattoos before the ceremony. A walk through the streets. A Ritzy Brixton cinema surprise announcement of your name change. Pub drinks instead of a formal reception.
George and Ryan’s day was proof that weddings don’t have to follow rules to be meaningful — they just have to feel true.
If you’re planning a wedding at Lambeth Town Hall and want photography that’s relaxed, documentary, and focused on real moments, I’d love to hear from you.
