Adam & Emily’s Rosewood Hotel Wedding: Van Gogh Afternoon Tea & Pie-Making Fun
Some weddings stick with you, and Adam & Emily’s day at the Rosewood Hotel is definitely one of those. From start to finish, it was full of joy, personality, and a few very quirky firsts for me as a photographer—most notably a post-ceremony pie-making masterclass with the brilliant Chef Calum Franklin in the famous Pie Room.
Elegant Details: Louboutin Shoes and Personal Style
Let’s start with the little details, because they were everything. Both Adam and Emily were rocking Louboutin shoes with the unmistakable red soles, and yes, I did a little shoe-spotting. Every time I looked down, it was like a flash of signature style under their wedding attire—a fun, chic touch that perfectly suited the day.

Van Gogh-Themed Afternoon Tea
The ceremony itself was classic elegance at the Rosewood, and then came the surprises. Afternoon tea was Van Gogh themed, with colors and presentation inspired by the artist himself. It was whimsical, beautifully curated, and a delight for both the eyes and taste buds. Guests were treated to edible works of art that reflected Adam and Emily’s love of creativity and color.

A First for Me: Pie-Making Masterclass After the Ceremony
But the real highlight—and a first for me—was the pie-making workshop in the Pie Room. I had never photographed a post-wedding culinary session before, and it was such a joy. Guests donned aprons, kneaded pastry, and got hands-on with creating their own little culinary masterpieces under Chef Calum Franklin’s guidance.
The energy was infectious: laughter, flour-dusted hands, and plenty of tasting along the way. Quirky? Absolutely. Fun? Beyond measure. And I loved every single moment.

Capturing Personality: Style, Fun, and Playfulness
This wedding was a perfect mix of elegance, personal style, and playful, unexpected touches. From the red-soled Louboutins to the Van Gogh treats, and finally, the pies, every detail reflected Adam and Emily’s personalities. I left the Rosewood that day with a very full camera card and an even fuller heart.
