Grace & Rob's Intimate Islington Town Hall Wedding.
Anyone who knows me will know how much I love a good London pub wedding, especially one preceded by an Islington town hall wedding ceremony. And that’s exactly what Grace and Rob did, with a four-course meal at their favourite Italian pizzeria in the middle too for good measure…

Grace wore a super chic halterneck dress for her intimate Islington Town Hall wedding and held a bouquet of creamy white flowers from Bud, cementing her status as a bridal style icon. Clearly a woman of great taste, she walked down the aisle to meet Rob to Marabou State. What I really love about an Islington Town Hall Wedding – well, one of many things I love – is that in this ceremony room, your guests sit around you in an almost-circle, meaning they can all see and be part of the ceremony, rather than craning their neck and just staring at your back the whole time.

After the ceremony, we posed for group shots in the iconic marble-lined hallways, and of course took a confetti shot going down the stairs, before whisking ourselves off to Stop Number 2 of Grace and Rob’s Wedding Day of Fun: their favourite Italian joint in London, Pizzeria Pappagone in Stroud Green!

I’m not kidding when I say universally the best wedding meal in the world is pizza and Aperol Spritz. Name me ONE person who doesn’t one to eat that on their wedding day – especially when it’s made by true Italian cooks *chefs kiss*. Long trestle tables laid out and decorated with foliage and simple, chic white balloons set the perfect tone for a family-feasting style setup. After speeches that left tears in eyes and heads in hands – including Grace and Rob giving a joint speech – the Pappagone staff treated Grace and Rob to their own heartfelt offering of a rather crude looking dessert (see if you can work out what it is from the photos of them accepting it very graciously!)

With bellies full of delicious food, hearts full of gorgeous memories and moments, and arms full of huge white balloons, we then sauntered through the Stroud Green streets to The Stapleton Tavern. Underneath bowed fairy lights and a chandelier-disco-ball, guests threw some serious shapes into the late night.

Grace and Rob’s wedding was everything an intimate London wedding should be: a celebration of their life and what they loved, and what they wanted to share with their nearest and dearest. It was such an honour to be asked to be part of their super laidback, pizza-fuelled day!
