An Old Finsbury Town Hall Wedding for Rose & Win.
I met Rose and Win through the utterly wonderful Designed by Nature Flowers who was my ‘stand’ neighbour at The Most Curious Wedding Fair in East London, and from that first introduction I knew Rose and Win were my sort of couple. Let me tell you why….
Theirs was to be a double celebration, thanks to covid postponements and disrupted travel plans. They turned a negative into a positive with two London wedding celebrations. The first part of their wedding was their civil ceremony at Old Finsbury Town Hall, and it would be remiss of me not to mention it’s most ridiculously elegant ceiling. It’s crazy beautiful! Their intimate service was followed by lunch for their closest friends and immediate family that was magnificently catered by Rose's family restaurant.
Rose wore a dress from David’s Bridal that perfectly suited her laidback but elegant vibe, and let’s not forget the gorgeous little flower girls who (almost) stole the show! They wore the most heavenly dresses, think Kemi Telford. They really were just the perfect combination of colourful and stylish fun.

Talking of colourful, stylish, and fun; Rose and Win totally nailed the confetti brief of more is more and you can never have enough of this joyous cheerful paper wonder. No really, you can never have enough! This is not the first time I’ve shot Flutterdarlings colourful, biodegradable confetti. I always recommend them as you can pick and mix the colours to match your wedding, and it flutters better than petals and the proof is in the end photos. They show up great!
There was a brief interlude between lunch and the evening party so Rose and Win checked into their hotel, the ever stylish The Standard, then the three of us grabbed this opportunity to make a few portraits in the evening light. As with all my favourite couples, they humoured me by happily taking my ‘ stand in that lift’ instructions like pros. Thanks legends!

In the evening this dear pair welcomed more friends, and Win was given the ultimate in wedding presents. His brother surprised him by turning up from overseas to deliver a brilliant best man speech. These are the moments we live for.
Once the speeches were done, all supped on the most delicious looking cocktails, again made by Rose’s family restaurant, before partying the night away....
The second part of Rose and Win’s wedding was an altogether more formal affair, but no less relaxed and stylish. It was held a year later at the Catholic Farm Street church in Mayfair followed by a reception at The Connaught which I was again lucky enough to be invited to photograph. LINK HERE.
