Sophie & Henry's Westminster Abbey Wedding.
One of the things I loved most about Sophie and Henry’s Westminster Abbey wedding day was the juxtaposition of their intimate London wedding plans with the hustle and constant bustle of the city. They had an elegant but close affair with around 30 guests at the ornate and historic Westminster Abbey, but the day started with us meeting at the London Eye. Now, the London Eye is heaving at the best of times, but especially when an anti-Brexit march is going through central!

We started off with some classic cool London portraits by the London Eye and on the Southbank with the Houses of Parliament behind. Then, on our way over Westminster Bridge, we merged with the Anti-Brexit march. Totally unphased by the fact she was in a bejewelled wedding dress (which she looked beautiful in), Sophie and Henry got stuck in posing with signs, placards – and policemen too!

Following some portraits with her powder blue bridesmaids, we were about ready to step into the Lady Chapel when we found the most gorgeous pocket of light in the doorway. After bathing in the golden light for a bit, watching Sophie and her dress glint and glow, it was time to go in.

Westminster Abbey is a stunning wedding venue, for very obvious reason. It’s filled with ornate, mind-blowing features wherever you look, whether it’s the intricately carved ceiling, the impressive stained glass windows at the end, or the gold altar in front of which Sophie and Henry stood. It was the perfect setting for their emotional ceremony, and an excellent example of how intimate weddings don’t have to be lacklustre at all.

Once they were pronounced husband and wife, Sophie and Henry did something different to the usual confetti throw. Instead, we organised their guests to stand outside the Chapel holding pink, gold and white balloons, and to greet them with a bubble exit. The result was a super cool shot that provided a nice alternative to a confetti shot – plus, the balloons made it super easy to spot who was in the party when we ventured back into Westminster!
