Izzy is fortunate enough to be part of the family business, and she runs the ecologically friendly glamping site at Wilderness Wedding Venue, with the help of her very own naughty sausage dog! On this day, because it was a true family affair, the rest of the family's wolfpack were able trot around soaking up the Spring sunshine, and one even managed to sneak on to the dance floor at the end of the night!
This wedding was a joy to photograph as it had everything – beautiful church ceremony, drinks in a dreamy woodland glade, dogs, Steve the splendid resident peacock, a bridal outfit change (we do love an outfit change!), traditional fairground rides, and a Fiat Prosecco van serving the most delicious Aperol Spritz (and who doesn’t love a neon orange fizzy drink?!)
One of my favourite local Whitstable based florists, Bluebell Creative, known for her signature wild, oversized creations made impressive floral installations and the bridal bouquet. Catering was by the ever-talented bunch at Tayberry Foods, who use only the finest local ingredients that Kent has to offer.
Wilderness Weddings really does have it all! Enchanting woodlands, water meadows, lakes with their very own boathouse, formal gardens, and only a stones throw away from the beautiful historic city of Canterbury and an hour from London. Wilderness Weddings is situated on Preston Court Farm estate, which stretches over 600 acres. If photographing this wedding has taught me anything, it’s that Izzy and her family know how to throw a party, so go and check out their website if you're looking for a similar laidback carnival vibe for your wedding celebration.
