Chandos House Wedding London

November 26, 2019

Amy and Louie’s Chandos House wedding was quite possibly the prettiest pastel coloured wedding I ever have seen – and I’m lucky to have seen a lot of gorgeous weddings! It was a real pleasure to work with not only such a lovely couple, but also the fabulous wedding planning Lindy Dowling.

The venue is a stunning Grade 1 Georgian townhouse right in the middle of London, so high ceilings and elegant gold accents are the standard at a Chandos House wedding. However, Amy, Louie and Lindy went above and beyond to convert the ceremony and dining room into an almost ethereal wedding wonderland.

Rebel Rebel had created stunning floral arrangements in a palette of pastel pinks, creams and whites, with a focus on soft, frilly blooms. These already looked amazing but things were taken to the next level with Jasmin Diptyque candles burning throughout, giving the room the most heavenly of smells! Smell is such an underused sense in weddings but it’s so powereful, as it really did make the space. Another great thing about it is that whenever Louie and Amy want to be transported straight back to their wedding day they can just light the same candle and be taken right back there (whilst looking at their wedding album, obviously…)

After a confetti shot and drinks reception, I slipped off with Amy and Louie for their portraits (which included them dancing together – MY HEART). Magic was then worked transforming the ceremony space for the reception. The ceremony room and the adjacent room were reworked with round tables and more beautiful displays from Rebel Rebel, ready for some wonderful speeches and more excellent shapeshifting. Blossom and Crumb had also made a stunning three-tiered ruffled cake adorned with fresh flowers, which went down a storm.

Special mention should also go to the bedrooms at the venue, which are just further reason to consider a Chandos House wedding – Amy and her two bridesmaids got ready in a stunning room with the most divine golden wallpaper you’ve ever seen. If that doesn’t set the tone for a great day, I don’t know what will!
